Each of the handmade journals is individually designed and handcrafted. Making journals is another opportunity to explore the wonders and beauty of specialty paper in addition to creating something to be a useful and attractive keepsake! And don't dismiss the computer--I found it to be a great tool in creating my own designs and paper motifs. I bind the journals using wire bindings and use acid-free or archival quality paper for the inner pages. I attempt to find acid-free paper for all aspects of the journal making.
The journal below was made using imported handmade specialty paper, a flower stamp and dimensional gold glaze paint. It is 5 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" tall.
